"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Tuesday, February 4, 1913 A SAW TAKES OFF TWO FINGERS. A circle saw in the shop in the rear of his home, on the northeast corner of Spring Street and Grand Avenue, sawed through two fingers on the right hand of William J. REINTJES, president of the Kansas City Construction Company, yesterday morning. A foreman for the company telephoned he needed extra laths. There was no one in the shop. The president of the company, who has retired from active work, had nearly finished sawing the laths. As he reached for the last one, the saw teeth buzzed through his fingers. Mr. REINTJES walked to St. Mary's Hospital, several blocks. There Dr. E. G. SHELDON dressed the injury. Mr. REINTJES then went home. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this person but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) ======================================================
