ALLEN, 75 years old, died yesterday morning while performing his duties as toll collector at the Hannibal Bridge. He had lived in Kansas City for fifteen years, during which time he has held the position as toll collector. In 1859, he began working for the Hannibal & St. Joseph Railroad in Quincy, Ill., and was transferred to Kansas City fifteen years ago. Heart failure was the cause of his death. He is survived by a widow, two sons, Frank H. ALLEN of St. Joseph, Mo., and Harry W. ALLEN of Quincy, Ill., and four daughters, Mrs. Harry FINLAY of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Effie MESSICK of Monmouth, Ill.; Mrs. Jessie BOHON and Mrs. Ernest JACKSON of Kansas City. ALLEN, toll collector on the Hannibal Bridge, who died on duty Wednesday morning, will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at his home, 126 South White Avenue.
