McGINLEY, MILLER, PEARSON, ROBINSON, SHAWHAN, SNYDER "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Monday, May 31, 1915 STEPPED INTO A PASTORATE. After being ordained as a minister at the First Presbyterian Church in Independence last night, Arthur G. PEARSON, who has been a business man in Kansas City, Kas., was installed as pastor of the church. The pulpit had been vacant since last September, when the Rev. C. C. McGINLEY resigned to become home mission superintendent in Missouri. Mr. PEARSON preached for the congregation several months last winter. The installation sermon was by the Rev. George L. ROBINSON of Chicago. Others assisting were the Rev. Gerrit SNYDER of Kansas City, Mo., Mr. McGINLEY of Independence; the Rev. H. H. SHAWHAN of Kansas City, Kas., and the Rev. John H.
