In a Funeral Notice from the Kansas City Star dated November 20, 1914 for my Greatgrandmother Catharine Morrisey Quinlan there is a request for the members of Holy Cross Council No.22 Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Father Mathew and sister councils to attend the funeral. Does anyone know anything about this organization in Kansas City? How active it was? I know about the movement: it was a temperance society that originated in Ireland and that Father Mathew toured and preached in the US in the 1850s.
