"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Thursday, November 16, 1899 Charles NICKENS, a negro, caught his right foot in a switch rod in the Wabash yards near the Hannibal bridge last night and was thrown forward, breaking his right leg in two places. He was attended by Assistant Police Surgeon MANAHAN and sent to the city hospital.
