    3. "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Friday, June 2, 1922 BUT THE ALDERMAN WAS OUT. A committee of seventh ward citizens, interested in the fight to preserve the jitneys, set out last night to find its alderman, E. G. McCARTY, and obtain a personal expression from him on the jitney question. Mrs. A. D. GERARD, 801 Olive street, and Mrs. Mary B. ARMSTRONG, 3011 East Seventh street, named as a committee to represent the ward, and a delegation of about thirty persons went to McCARTY's home at 1445 Admiral boulevard. McCARTY was not at home. The delegation returned to the garage at 3824 Independence avenue, and resumed planning for the repeal of the ordinance. ================================================= (I have no connection with these people but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) =================================================
