Dick, her notes could be correct ...... maybe it was Kansas City, Kansas. There's always a chance that the marriage was not put in the index for some reason. For only $2, you could requests a copy of the marriage certificate from the Jackson County courthouse. They would just need the names and the date you have. I would tell the courthouse people that you could not find them in the marriage index and ask them to search the original marriage certificate file.
