    3. Dick, her notes could be correct ...... maybe it was Kansas City, Kansas. There's always a chance that the marriage was not put in the index for some reason. For only $2, you could requests a copy of the marriage certificate from the Jackson County courthouse. They would just need the names and the date you have. I would tell the courthouse people that you could not find them in the marriage index and ask them to search the original marriage certificate file. Here is the Jackson County address if you're interested. (I'd make the initial contact by phone or e-mail, if I were you.) Jackson County, Kansas City courthouse 415 East 12th Street, Room 104 Kansas City, MO 64106 (phone 816-881-3048) e-mail address: records@gw.co.jackson.mo.us John ----- Original Message ----- From: Richard C. According to my aunt's notes, Robert and Harriet were married in Kansas City,MO on 14 June 1893, but then she could be wrong. I've caught her with a few mistakes in her recordings. Her age and memory will not allow me to discuss this with her. Again, thank you for trying. The name Robert F. Wark sounds familiar and if you happened to have copied the info, I might be able to use it, but don't go to any more trouble if you do have a copy of it. Again, Thank you for your time and trouble. It's people like you that makes this hobby so enjoyable. Have a great day, Dick ----- Original Message ----- From: John O'Brien To: Richard C. I had to look up a couple of marriages using the Jackson County Marriage Index, so I decided to look up WARK-SUMMER while I had the microfilm. Are you sure that Robert B. and Harriet were married in Kansas City? I could not find them in the marriage index. I looked in the Jackson County-Independence and Jackson County- Kansas City index for both brides and grooms. The only WARK I found was: 1918 - Robert F. WARK - Ellen L. ROTH Before I do anymore searching, please confirm that you're sure they were married in Kansas City, Missouri. The newspapers for 1893 are very difficult to read because of the quality of the film. I use to be a member of this list when I was tracking my Looney's a couple of years ago, but dropped off as I started on a couple of other lines. I subscribed again to this list on March 3rd, so I missed your notice. You seem to be doing quite a bit of research in the area (date) of my interest. Again, thanks for responding.
