Dick, thanks for responding. No, you didn't do anything wrong. I was considering doing your request for the 1893 newspaper marriage announcement; but a lot of the 1800 newspapers are very difficult to read, so I've been backing-off doing that type of research. Last month I sent a survey to the KC Mailing List and I decided that if you had taken the time to respond, I'd go ahead and look for the marriage.
