"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Monday, May 6, 1889 STABBED WITH A DIRK. O. E. McNEIL was stabbed in the back at 6:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon by John ADAMS in the saloon owned by the former at 7 East Twelfth street. A party of men were playing cards in the saloon and quarreled over a charge of holding out cards. The cut was made four inches to the left of the spine by a dirk knife, and, although a painful wound, is not of a serious nature. ADAMS, who is by trade a painter, was not arrested. ============================================ (I have no connection with this person but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) ============================================ 2
