"The Kansas City Star" (Missouri) Saturday, June 16, 1906 DECIDED HE WAS LUCKY. Alex NARSHEL of 407 West Fifth street, a junk dealer, drove from Twenty-second street and Grand avenue into Gillham road yesterday. At Twenty-fourth street an officer arrested him. Judge KYLE fined him $3 in police court this morning for violating the boulevard ordinance. NARSHEL had put up a cash bond of $6.50. He was given an order for the money, less the fine. He demanded it all. When it was explained to him he started away. Then remembering the officer who arrested him, he returned. "How much do I owe you?" he asked. "Nothing." NARSHEL was happy. He thought he had to pay the officer for arresting him. "I guess I'm lucky," he said. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ======================================================
