"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Friday, January 14, 1921 SLIPS, HIS LEFT LEG BROKEN One of the first victims of the slippery streets was taken to Old City hospital yesterday afternoon from Twelfth and Main streets. It was James NEAL, 39 years old, a negro, who lives at 1303 East Eighteenth street. NEAL has a broken left leg. He slipped while crossing Twelfth street on the west side of Main.
