"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Saturday, November 26, 1904 EX-CONFEDERATE DIES SUDDENLY Alex MULLIN, an inmate of the ex-Confederates' home at Higginsville, Mo., died of heart trouble at the home of his son, 7 East Thirty-first street, yesterday afternoon. He had been ill several days, but his death came suddenly and just a few minutes after he had refused the offer of his son to call a physician. By order of a deputy coroner, the body was removed to Lindsey's undertaking rooms in Westport. The dead man was 76 years old.
