"The Kansas City Star" (Missouri) Saturday, June 16, 1906 MORRIS'S RED BURNSIDES GONE. Alderman E. E. MORRIS has shaved off his burnsides. They were of a reddish tint. "For twelve years they have been a joy to me," said Alderman MORRIS, "but I was driven to abolish them by a recent article in "The Star." I don't see why they should be an object of opprobrium. People have got to calling them "fire escapes," "smudges" and other disagreeable names." ================================================= (I have no connection with this person but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) =================================================
