    3. "The Kansas City Post" (Missouri) Monday, May 27, 1912 HUSBAND OBJECTED TO EVERYTHING SHE DID, ASSERTS WIFE If Alta L. ALLEN did the milking and gathered the eggs, in addition to doing other chores around the farm of her husband near Hickman Mills, ALLEN objected because she neglected the cooking, according to the wife. If she took time to do the cooking and house work properly, he objected because she didn't milk the cows and gather the eggs. If she went to church, he objected, and if she didn't, he was "peeved" because she didn't mix with the neighbors and refused to go out with her. They were married on March 30, 1911. She asked the circuit court this morning for a divorce and proper provision for her support. ALLEN owns a 120-acre farm, worth $25,000. ================================================= (I have no connection with these people but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) =================================================
