Do u by any chance have a Dayton? Brown in your database? He was married to Edith in the 1900 census for Kansas City. They had been married 2 years. He lists a "daughter" Gladys who is really Gladys Greever b in 1888 in Mo. It would really help my research if I was sure of his first name.
