"The Kansas City Star" (Missouri) Thursday, July 8, 1920 What was considered the most unusual accidental death of this year was that of the 5-year-old son of James F. SIMS, 3406 Roberts street. The boy was riding a tricycle on the sidewalk at Askew and Independence avenues June 9, when two motor cars collided in the street. He was struck by scalding water from the punctured radiator of one of the cars. He died the next day from the burns. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.)
