"The Kansas City Journal" (Missouri) Thursday, November 19, 1903 D. M. BURK, of 706 East Twenty-fifth street, was officially informed by the war department yesterday that his son, Elmer F. BURK, was killed by the Moros in the Philippines November 14. Elmer BURK was 23 years old. He was born and raised in Marshall, Mo., and came to Kansas City but a few weeks before his enlistment, November 5, 1901.
