Mrs. R. CHEETHAM, of Fourteenth street, is seriously ill with pneumonia. Nellie McMAHON, of 276 South Seventh street, left last evening for Boston to visit relatives. Mrs. C. COCHRAN, of Pittsburg, Pa., who has been visiting her son, John, of Seventh street, returned home last evening. The remains of J. McHEARN, who died last Thursday at St. Margaret's hospital, will be placed in a vault in St. John's cemetery this afternoon. Bob COFFEY and F. FEELER, two local sports, had a bout in a saloon on the corner of Packard street and Kansas avenue last night. FEELER was knocked out in ten seconds. All news, subscriptions, advertisements and complaints when left at LEININGER's book store, 505 Kansas avenue, or at O. O. CLAFLIN's drug store, 823 Osage avenue, will be given prompt attention. Frank WAKEMAN and H. D. CRAWFORD, of York, Kas., who left for the Southern states a few weeks ago to speculate on prospective mines, returned home last evening. Mr. WAKEMAN stated that he liked Port Arthur very much. He said that he and Mr. CRAWFORD expected to buy a large stock in several mines that they were investigating. They will return in a few days. ARGENTINE. Fred LAKE is dangerously ill with pneumonia. Miss Geneva WESSLEY, formerly of this city is in the city visiting relatives. Miss McKINNEY, who has been visiting relatives in York, Kas., returned last evening. Edmund DUDLEY, who has been in Colorado visiting relatives, returned home last evening. Miss Katie FRENCH will entertain her friends to-morrow evening. Music recitations will be the features of the evening. Refreshments will be served. All news, subscriptions, advertisements and complaints, when left at McGEORGE's drug store on Metropolitan avenue , will be given prompt attention. ROSEDALE. Services at the churches to-day at the usual hour. A number of young people of this city attended the commencement exercises at Oakland Friday night. The pupils of the Rosedale schools held their annual picnic at Merriam park yesterday. There was a very much one sided ball game between the Iron-Citys and Lipity, Juniors resulting in a score of 15 to 6 in favor of the Lipity, Juniors.
