HARRIS, chief of police of Independence, talked yesterday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, and at the Watson Memorial Methodist Church at night. He had been asked to tell what proportion of the criminal cases he had handled in his office are due, directly or indirectly to the use of intoxicants. His answer was "90 per cent."
