    3. Dear List, This weekend, my mother gave me the class pictures for my kindergarten and 1st grade classes. Unfortunately, no names were written on the back and I was hoping some of you on the list were also in these classes and could help me put names with faces. The classes were: Rockford Elementary School 1956-57--1st grade Tower School 1955-1956--kindergarten There was no kindergarten in public schools in Missouri in 1955-56 so my parents sent me to Tower School. Tower was a private school under the water tower at Ruskin Heights that was hit by the tornado in the spring of 1957. I would appreciate any information about Tower school, since I don't know much about it. My parents didn't have much money so I don't think it could have cost much for tuition. A year or two later, the public schools had kindergarten and we moved away, so I don't know what happened to Tower school. I do remember that they taught us to speak French. Also, there was a real nice playground. The class picture has 27 kids in it. We are all dressed in white graduation caps and gowns. Really cute! Rockford was an old country school in the area where Longview Lake is today. It only had two classrooms--one for 1st grade and one for 2nd grade. 3rd grade went to Burke Elementary. Thank you for any help you can give. Anita in MO __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! DSL - Now only $29.95 per month! http://sbc.yahoo.com
