"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Monday, August 4, 1913 A BEGGAR SHOWED FIGHT. Vernon BRADSHAW, 20 years old, a photographer, living at 1629 Benton Boulevard, was standing at Fifteenth and Campbell streets early yesterday morning when he was accosted by a rough looking man. The man wanted money. BRADSHAW told him he had no money to give away. This angered the man and he set upon the photographer. The two fought back and forth over the curb. Finally the stranger tripped BRADSHAW, who fell through the basement window of the building at 1431 Campbell Street. The shattered glass inflicted a bad cut on the left side of his head. He was taken to the General Hospital. The stranger escaped. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ======================================================
