"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Tuesday, May 21, 1912 MERCANTILE CLUB IS LIVELY. The Mercantile Club in Kansas City, Kas., was divided last night over the question of selecting the five members who are to constitute the nominating committee to select candidates for directors. The insurgents introduced a motion to amend the by-laws so that nominations would be made at a direct primary in September instead of by the committee, and carried their point.
