"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Tuesday, May 21, 1912 DEATHS IN KANSAS CITY. Capt. J. B. NIPP, who died at his home, 4017 Wyoming Street Saturday morning, was formerly sheriff, register of deeds and treasurer of Cowley County, Kansas. He was born in Kentucky, captain of a steamer on the Ohio River and during the Civil War commanded a company in the Second Kentucky Cavalry. He came to Kansas City in 1868 and went to Leavenworth and to Arkansas City, Kas., operating the Gladstone Hotel in the latter place. A widow and the following children survive: Mrs. C. A. TREADWELL, Oklahoma; Mrs. I K. BERRY, Hampico, Mexico; R. A. NIPP, Sweetwater, Tex.; J. B.
