"Independence Sentinel" (Missouri) Friday, May 25, 1900 Dr. Alfred BENIFELD, a resident of Kansas City for the past eighteen years died Monday morning at 1:30 o'clock at his home, 1221 Oak Street. Dr. BENIFELD was born in Augusta, Mo., on November 17, 1855, and came to Kansas City in 1872. In 1883 he held the position of teacher of gymnastics at the Kansas City tournament. He studied medicine at the University Medical college and was graduated from there in 1895. An aged mother and a sister, Mrs. STIRN, survive him. The funeral will be held from his late residence tomorrow at 3 o'clock.
