"The Kansas City Journal" (Missouri) Sunday, December 27, 1903 MARY HOLMES GIBBS AT REST. The funeral of Mrs. Mary HOLMES GIBBS was held from the residence of her grandfather, 1106 Central street, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The services were very simple and brief. Rev. W. F. RICHARDSON, pastor of the First Christian church, conducted the services, which consisted of a scripture reading, singing and prayer. Only the family and very close friends were present. O. C. GIBBS, the husband, who at the time of her sudden death shortly after midnight on Friday, was in the Indian Territory attending to his duties as traveling representative for the Smith-McCord Dry Goods Company, reached Kansas City during the morning and was present at the funeral.
