    3. "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Monday, May 18, 1914 SPENT $2,000 IN FIVE MONTHS. After commenting on the fine night, Harry A. MOORE, 41 years old, walked from the street in front of the Terminal Hotel, 1422 Main Street, to his room in the building last night and committed suicide by drinking poison. He was dead before Dr. William HINES of the Emergency Hospital reached the hotel. He had been talking with several roomers at the hotel before entering the hotel. January 1, Moore lost his left arm while on duty as a switchman for the Rock Island Railroad. Since that time he has been out of employment. Five months ago MOORE received $2,000 from the railroad company for the loss of his arm. According to friends, he died destitute. They say he has been remorseful lately because of his prodigality. Dr. Fritz MOENNIGHOFF sent MOORE's body to Quirk & Tobin's undertaking rooms. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ======================================================
