    3. Hi John,   My name is Carol Lee (Boles) Rollins   I was born in KC, Mo, but grew up in KC,Ks, the Rosedale area.   I now live in Olathe, Ks   My father was Ralph Frank Boles,b in Ks; his father Frank McAnnaly Boles,b in Ks; his father, Charles Boles b in Il. Charles's siblings have been my headache. I have somewhat identified 2 brother & 2 sisters from old letters. I have his mother and fathers names from his obit. Charles was a Methodist minister during the time period of 1845 till his death in 1902. He served the Shawnee 's at the Shawnee Indian Mission, the Delaware Indian Mission and then the Kickapoo's.  He also preached in many of the early Methodist Church's in both Johnson & Wyandotte Co, Ks.  He lived in the Jo Co Ks area and raised his families there.  I have been able to trace the families.  My brother did the DNA for me but to no luck as of yet.  Charles's father was born in Pa in about 1784 and his mother in Tn.  His parents both settled in McDonald Co Mo about 1832.   Thanks for all your help and great information you send. As we begin a new year, I thought it would be interesting to know a little something about us members, and maybe even help each other, so I'm requesting that you respond to this note with the following: Your location - city and state .......... or just state How you are connected to Kansas City, MO or Kansas City, KS What you hope to gain by being a member of the KC Mailing List Your family name - first, first & last, or none. =================================================== Perhaps someone on the List will be able to provide you with information. This will be more probably if you include dates and names in your response. For example, saying "my grandfather lived in KC" will not get much of a response but saying "my grandfather, John O'Brien, lived in Kansas City in the 1920s" might produce a result. It's up to you how specific you want to be. There is, of course, no requirement that you participate. However, simply responding: "I live in California and lived in Kansas City, KS in the 1950s" would be acceptable. Thank you for your consideration.
