Actually, AOL is a parasite program that integrates into the programs you already have on your system, i.e. Internet Explorer and the likes. I had nothing but problems with AOL years ago, this goes for Yahoo too. The best solution for this problem is to get a regular dial up or broadband such as roadrunner and use your own program to access email and the Internet. Once you try to rid yourself of Yahoo or AOL, it is almost required to format your computer. In other words, you cannot rid your self of the files and junk they download without your knowledge. A lot of people think that the virus protection AOL and Yahoo provides is enough security. Think again.
