    1. [KANSASCITY] Mr. & Mrs. Dillen & Clemons SCHNEIDER - Kansas City, MO - April 1899
    2. John O'Brien
    3. "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Tuesday, April 25, 1899 VERY LIVELY DEAD BOY. Should his parents care to preserve it, Clemons SCHNEIDER, who lives in the east bottoms with his father, Dillen SCHNEIDER, a gardener, can read an account of his own violent death, which appeared under glaring head lines in a morning paper yesterday. Clemons is only 3 years old, and, notwithstanding he is extraordinarily bright, it may be several years yet before he knows fully the importance of being cut to pieces one day, via printer's ink, and be able to sit up the next day and joke about it. Clemons is a boy and not a girl. He is deaf, and that fact alone is the only one printed yesterday morning. Clemons was playing on the Missouri Pacific tracks near his home Sunday evening with his sister and some neighbors' children. An incoming passenger train came along. The engineer blew his whistle and all the children quit the track save Clemons. His deafness prevented him hearing the warning whistle and his chums saw the big engine strike him and hurl him from the track. His scalp was cut in several places but outside of that, he was uninjured. He will not die, so the doctor who attended him said. Mr. and Mrs. SCHNEIDER will sue the road. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ======================================================

The names that you have the month and year would not take too long to find. You will have to search day by day .......... just takes a little time. It would not be practical to search with just the year. 2. Lots of Estes family all over.. went to school with Nadine Estes at Ashland and then East High. Might find family in l930 census on Quincy or Denver street between 24-26th blocks. We have Shawn Estes, who has pitched for several major league teams from Gardnerville, Nevada and now lives in Scottsdale AZ. So looks likes the Estes family migrated west -so who knows which are related. The best suggestion is the Kansas City family. In a message dated 1/10/2009 1:40:21 P.M. 3. Cindy, sorry you didn't have any luck when you were at the library. Here is the obit: ======================================== "The Kansas City Star" April 5, 1920 Mrs. Mary J. ARMSTRONG, 73 years old, died yesterday at the home of her son, Morgan ARMSTRONG, 2803 East Sixth street. Mrs. ARMSTRONG had lived in Kansas City for three and one-half years. Besides Morgan ARMSTRONG she is survived by two other sons, Frank V. ARMSTRONG, Council Bluffs, Ia.; William ARMSTRONG, Forty-eighth street and State Line, and a daughter, Mrs. Lelia STADLER, Brownington, Mo. Services will be at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at Smith's chapel; burial in Forest Hill cemetery. ======================================== I'll email you a copy of the obituary. I assume you have a copy of her death certificate. Note that her address on the death certificate shows as 2802 East Sixth but her obit showed the address as 2803. Her son, Morgan, died on April 6, 1945. His death certificate is also on the Missouri site. I did not find her other son's (William) or daughter's death certificate. Maybe they were not in Missouri at death or maybe they died after 1957.
