    3. Hello Everyone, I wanted to Ask if anyone knows of the following message? "03/12/1997 LeRoy Johnson smokey@aa.net When and where did Adam Christison die? Where is he buried? In 1880 he was living with his grandson, John A. Dupree in Blue Springs, Jackson County, Missouri. His age was 85." I would LOVE to find out where this John A. Dupree went. I found this 1880 census this Weekend, (By Accident) Here is How this fits end to My Line: Mary Bell Adams Married John A. Dupree (When and Where I haven't found yet, I think Kansas, but could be MO, Beings the 2 children on the 1880 census was Born in MO) Mary Bell Adams is the Daughter of Peter Adams and Jane Rowe of Fayette County, Ohio, Peter and Jane Rowe Adams Had David M., Sarah Elizabeth, and Mary Bell Adams. Sarah E. Adams came to Jackson County about 1881 and Married Charles Edward St. Clair. (My 2nd Great Grand Parents) I Know that Mary and Sarah's Great Uncle Peter Adams and his Children, and Their Grand Father Jesse Bascom Rowe and his Children came to Jackson County. If there is anyone Looking for any of these People, Please contact me. (Or if You Think you can direct me in the right direction.) 1. Re: [KansasCity] City Directory 1890
    2. No, only the 1889-1891 yrs., in their effort to recreate the 1890 census. I also saw that KC/KS was a separate database - looked for 2 of mine, but they weren't there. The biggest problem with on-line searching is that you can hit on the right spelling. At least the city directories were printed, not handwritten as are censuses! Glad to help where I can. 2. John - Don't you dare quit - what you have given this list (and Jackson Co. list) is tremendous. Funny, sad and full of wonderful little tidbits about the Kansas City metro area. A great learning experience. My great grandfather was a saloon keeper in Kansas City plus being a member of the police department, in the 1870 - 90 range. Have heard a lot of stories from my father that he had heard and these of yours are just icing on the cake. Keep up the good work. PS - no preference on items, they are all great. Sharrie KC Mo
