I see online where you have obits for Kansas City for October of 1911. The one name that peaked my interest was that of Fletcher Laundy. My husband is a Laundy descendant....some of the family ended up in MO. The parents names were Henry Laundy and Sarah Fletcher....sounds too familiar not to check it out. If it is convenient, we would appreciate seeing this information. Thanks in advance... Norma Falconer Lucknow, Ontario, Canada falconer@tcc.on.ca http://www.tcc.on.ca/~falconer
Dick, her notes could be correct ...... maybe it was Kansas City, Kansas. There's always a chance that the marriage was not put in the index for some reason. For only $2, you could requests a copy of the marriage certificate from the Jackson County courthouse. They would just need the names and the date you have. I would tell the courthouse people that you could not find them in the marriage index and ask them to search the original marriage certificate file. Here is the Jackson County address if you're interested. (I'd make the initial contact by phone or e-mail, if I were you.) Her age and memory will not allow me to discuss this with her. Again, thank you for trying. The name Robert F.
