    3. DANIELS, DARNELL, RENGEY, TAYLOR, WAKEDAW, ZIMMER "The Kansas City Journal" (Missouri) Tuesday, May 19, 1903 BODY FOUND AT WAKEDAW. A body which is supposed to be that of Mrs. E. E. RENGEY, who was drowned in the Kaw river in Armourdale about ten days ago while boating with Alfred TAYLOR, was found floating in the Missouri river at Wakedaw, Mo., late Sunday evening. Wakedaw is a small town about sixty-five miles east of Kansas City. Dr. WAKEDAW, mayor of the town, notified Chief of Police ZIMMER, of Kansas City, Kas., yesterday of the find and the news was transmitted to E. E. RENGEY, of Armourdale, husband of the dead woman. Yesterday afternoon Richard DANIELS, of the Daniels Bros. undertaking firm, accompanied by Mr. RENGEY and Detective DARNELL, went to Wakedaw to identify the body which was buried by the people of that town shortly after it was discovered. The body was described by the Wakedaw authorities as being that of a woman about 20 years old with auburn hair. A small round gold breastpin set with rubies and pearls was fastened at her throat and she wore patent leather slippers. Relatives here say that the description agrees in some respects with that of Mrs. RENGEY. They say that when last seen she wore a blue gingham waist with light stripes and a linen skirt with two flounces around the bottom. ================================================= (I have no connection with this person but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) =================================================

    1. [KansasCity] list problem
    2. Fellow listers, I'm having a problem with the list and can't figure out how to stop it. I've sent messages to the list owner but have received no reply. I joined this list under a different ISP. Every message I receive through that provider is blocked. The error message I get says that it has been blocked because there is an unwanted attachment. I know that these boards do not allow attachments and the messages come through just fine through AOL. Can anyone tell me how to solve this? Please contact me off list so we don't tie up the board for everyone else. Thanks for your help. Joyce Flag14@aol.com

    2. John O'Brien
    3. "The Kansas City Journal" (Missouri) Tuesday, May 19, 1903 HAD A HARD TIME MARRYING. Thomas D. WYATT and Miss Dora I. HARRIS, of Lee's Summit, Mo., experienced a difficult proposition yesterday in getting married. The bride was only 16 years of age, and the officials in Kansas City, Mo., refused to issue the license because her parents had not given their consent in person to the wedding. The couple started out early in the morning and finally about the middle of the afternoon, arrived in Kansas City, Kas. The laws in that state are not so rigid in regard to minors marrying, and Judge FREEMAN issued the license and performed the ceremony. Friends of both the bride and groom were present and stated that it was no runaway match. ================================================= (I have no connection with these people but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) =================================================
