I am Diana from Overland Park. I am searching for info about my grandmother's side of my Davison family--David Jefferson Mills from DeSoto/Linwood. One of her sister's, Minnie Mills Neal, lived in KC during the 1940s-60s. Also my grandfather's side of the Davison's lived in DeSoto and Kansas City from 1885 until 1960s? Leslie and William Philo in DeSoto. Stonewall Jackson, Anderson Jackson in KC. Leslie's sister Althea Davison Yarnell lived in KC in 30s-50s. Any lead would be great. Gail .... a suggestion: if you give some first names and about when the people lived (and died?) in Kansas City (Missouri or Kansas?) there is a better chance of getting some help from members of the List. Keep in mind that many people are monitoring 30 or more mailing lists and message boards, and would never have time to open every message that they get. They only look at something that has a subject that tells them that it's definitely related to their surnames or other subjects of interest to them. They never open emails with subjects like "Roll Call" or "Kansas City question". So they will miss your message, and you don't want to miss these people, some of them are the best researchers on the internet.
I am researching the names GRAY and THOMAS in KC. Thanks!
Roll Call I am researching ORRISON, SHOCKLEY, DARROW all from the Kansas City, Mo. and Ks. Sides. I am also interested in LONG, JACKSON, AND SCOTT but to a much lesser degree. Karen S. Frank, I have a Margaret Roberts Farnsworth b. PA abt. 1805 and probably died in the KC area after 1880. Her daughter Martha married Harvey L. Shaw; they were in Wyandotte Co., KS in 1880. Might she be related to your Farnsworths? Had three sons with first husband, was widowed, married Farnsworth and was widowed shortly afterward again. Apparently didn't marry a third time. Vanette
Terri, Would your Hartmans possibly include Jacob who lived just south of Raytown? First wife Marie, second wife Lura, and close friends of our family. Vanette
