    3. (Saw this on another list. ) Ancestry.com has extended the free search of the Immigration Records through the end of December, so you have another month to check out the collection and find some of those lost ancestors. This is one of those really free no credit card promotions (not like a free trial). You just need to give them your name and email (and no credit card) and you can start searching the entire immigration collection. Here's a link to the promotion and more details. http://www.shipspassengers.com ________________________________________________________________________

    1. Researching Pettyjohn Family
    2. Hi, I am hoping someone on this list is also researching the Pettyjohn family. My husand's grandfather was Charles A. Pettyjohn (b. abt. 1888 in MO). Charles married Mae Fargo. Charles's parents were Andrew Jackson Pettyjohn (b. 1858 in MO, possilbly in Andrew Co. MO) and Hariett Kirkpatrick -- they married in 1871. Andrew's parents were Andrew Jackson Pettyjohn and Mary Elizabeth King. Andrew, Sr. and family were living in Nodaway Township, Andrew Co., MO in the 1850 and 1860 Census. Charles and May and their children lived on Blue Ridge Blvd, Blue Township, Jackson Co., MO in the 1930 Census. Their children were Dorothy, Charles, Jr. (went by CAP), Donald, Francis, Ruth, Jack, and Dwayne. I belong the Ancestry.com and have not been able to locate any marriage or death information on Charles, May, Andrew, Jr. Harriet, and Andrew, Sr. I have been on the MO archives site and none of them are listed. I am hoping someone on this list might know this family and help me in my search. Thank you and Blessings, Mary from AR
