    2. Hi Brett, My great grandmother was  Margaret Quinn (nee Kane), but they lived in Brooklyn, New York.   She is buried in Holy Cross cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.  Her husband was William Joseph Quinn. They had 5 children:  William Joseph, Frank, Luke, Veronica, and Edward.  Both my great grandparents died in the mid to late 1870s.  I have my papers in the Safe deposit box in the bank, so off the top of my head, I don't remember the exact dates.  I only remember that she died in May. You are not alone! 3. Hi all,The Rootsweb mail lists were offline for security structuring for quite a while, so maybe some of us forgot about them? And a lot of groups have moved to Facebook, for better or worse. I have not done much research on the Kanes, but here's what I have - My Mother-in-law was Jeanne Frances Kane (1923-2002) from Buffalo, NY. Her parents were Robert William Kane(1885-1973) and Mary Margaret Smith (1897-1982). His parents were Patrick Kane (1850-?) and Frances Flannigan (1851-?). He was born in Ireland, came to the US as an infant and was living in Wellsville, Allegany, New York in 1892. By 1900 the family had moved to Buffalo and stayed there.
