    2. Thank you for your kind offer. I don't think they would have been married in New York. I am not even sure they were actually married. The child, a daughter, was raised (adopted) by a family in Reno, Nevada. Lawrence was probably born about 1880. A Lawrence Kane is listed in later census records in Everett, Washington. He is involved in the printing industry, but, his birthplace is listed as Michigan, rather than New York. There is also an Arthur Lawrence Kane, born 1883, registering for the WWII Draft from Payette, Idaho, who has a relative in Walla Walla, Washington. No birthplace is listed. I am not sure either of them is the Lawrence W. Kane I am looking for. Any help will be appreciated.

    3. That's difficult when there is an adoption.  While I'am in the archives I could check for a birth record unless you have that info.  If you don't it might give you some clues.  Let me know.
