    3. Hello, I am looking for any information on Lysander P. Joslin and his wife Lydia Robinson. Lysander was born 1 May 1825 in Columbus, Ohio, married 23 Aug 1845 in Whitely Co., Indiana and died 14 May 1898 in Keighley, Kansas. I think Lysander's parents were James Joslin and Abigail Goodrich. And that is it, I know nothing about the names or places and would really appreciate any help someone could direct my way. Thank you, Ralph D. Strahan

    3. Hello Joslin researchers, I am looking for information about a line of Joslin descendants from a Samuel Joslin b' 1786 in Prince Willaim Parish, New Brunswick. He was probably the son of one of the five known Joslin loyalists that arrived in New Brunswick in 1783. Samuel married a Rhoda Parle and they had ten children. Some of the older children were born in New Brunswick, but the youngest was born in Ontario, supposedly near Woodstock. The children were: William, b. 1813; John, b. 1815; George, b. 27 Nov 1817, in New Brunswick, d. 28 Oct 1905 Smithville, Ontario; Charles, b. 1820; Eliza, b. 1822; Frederick, b. 1826 in New Brunswick; Mary Ann b. 1829; Marie Frances, b. 1832; Samuel, b. 19 Jan 1839, Woodstock, Oxford Co., Ontario. I have not yet found the burial place of Samuel, though his widow is buried in Smithville. I also am trying to find confirmation of who his parents were. Any information about descendants of this line would be welcomed, and I offer such info as I have to anyone it might help. Walter Joslin joslinvw@tir.com

    2. Greg Reeves
    3. Hi everyone; I'm new to the JOSLIN list and this is my first post to the list... I'm looking to "connect" w/ other JOSLIN researchers who might tie into "my own" (albeit, rather distant) JOSLIN family: My 1st Cousin, Twice-removed was Gaynell Eleanor FLETCHER, 1908- 1987, (a REEVES descendant) who married George Dimmick JOSLIN (b. 22 DEC 1902 in Emporia, Lyon, KS; d. 25 MAR 1993 in Wichita, Sedgwick, KS) on 26 JUN 1926. George was buried in Wichita Park Cemetery on 29 MAR 1993. George was both a "relative" and a friend of my family's and a life-long member of Westside Baptist Church in Wichita, KS and sang for years in that body's choir. I believe that he may well have been a retired Wichita public school music teacher. George and Gaynell JOSLIN had 2 children whom I won't name because one still is alive, but if anyone on the JOSLIN list knows something/ anything about George's parents---->ancestors, I'd like to correspond w/ them "off-list!" I don't have much more than I've already shared, but am willing to share what little more I have so long as it doesn't compromise any living person's privacy (i.e., any distant cousins out there?)... Thanks! Greg Reeves REEVES-L and DEAN-L Listowner greg@rapidnet.com
