    2. lI saw your post, but I did not want to post back to Rootsweb as I am not sure of what I suspect. I have reason to believe my gggf's father was married to a Martha Sweet. She had many sisters, and I believe one of them was a Lydia. I am a Rhode Island person transplanted to TX. I have been looking for Henry Vaughn Joslin, b Mar 1799's father for years. Came across some info the other night that makes me think I may have a clue. I do know there was a family of Joslin's which could include my HV that had a Freeborn and a Gardiner. ANd my HV had a son John. and my ggm Maryann. Are we on the same tract? Hope so. Please get back to me if you think we match somehow. Thanks , Betsey

    3. There is also a book, "Blackman and Allied Families" written by Alfred L. Holman in 1928 which has one chapter of JOSLIN genealogy (22 pages) from the first Joslin in America in 1600's tracing a few lines to the 1900's. This chapter as well as the KEIGWIN chapter were contributed by Edward H. Joslyn, 1906-2001 who has been an avid genealogist all his life. The book is out of print, but in some libraries, and available from Higginson Books online. ----- Original Message ----- From: "davbe joslin" <dave@davejoslin.net> To: <JOSLIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 04, 2002 3:45 PM Subject: Re: [JOSLIN] Would like an (on-lin if possible)history of Joslin name > > Only book I know of in the U.S. is out of print, but there are two books available on Amazon. com.uk. 3. It depends on what you want. If you are looking geographically, Regionally etc. The name is from Josselin, France. Which came first? It is a "creek" that runs through the the village. -----Original Message----- From: Gemcolleen@aol.com <Gemcolleen@aol.com> To: JOSLIN-L@rootsweb.com <JOSLIN-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, February 04, 2002 1:25 PM Subject: [JOSLIN] Would like an (on-lin if possible)history of Joslin name >Does anyone know where I can get access to a good study of the Joslin name >and all its variations?
