Benjamin Franklin Joslin was married at one point to his cousin Taesa Corenia Joslin. She was my grandfathers sister. His father was Samuel Alden Joslin (Sarah Elizabeth Miller), grandfather was George Joslin (Magdalene Lee) and g-grandfather was Samuel Joslin (Rhoda Pearl.Parle/Perle). I would like to add the Clark information to Homer D. Joslin's data and compare the family group sheet for the family.

We have several pictures of Phoebe's family and some unknown Joslin/Moses? family members. We did do some early temple work which went into the IGI, however, since it has been updated alot in information. We knew little early. We already have their divorce transcribed and hopefully I can put it out for you. I have limited computer knowledge especially internet but learning. Also, we have the petition she sent for when her 2nd husband George Wm. Bowers died and he was a veteran of the war of 1848 I think. It showed a very colorful figure. Our family is known to be story-tellers! My mom is doing a little better now so maybe she can help me locate the pictures and get the information together. We have a mini-history on Joseph Tatro Jr. that was put in the History book of Fillmore County, Nebraska as he donated much of his homestead for the town of Grafton and the railroad. It does need to be updated and in some instances was not correct. Their relationship diminished when he was called to the Civil War and upon his return it must have been very disheartening for them all. Phoebe only took youngest son to south Illinois and northern Kentucky area. Will write soon, gwen

The majority of my ancestors are in the lower Michigan area around Newaygo, Cedar Springs, White Cloud, etc. Just north of Grand Rapids. Prior to that, it seems that most of our ancestors filtered down from Canada where they had lived for a number of years after migrating upstate from the New York area. Some info I have read suggests they were Loyalists and had to beat feet out of the Colonies. That gives you a rough background of who we are and where our recent <250yrs> history has come from. My Dad <Harry E. Joslin> is the one that does the main administration and I provide technical support to him. I have a guest account set up for anyone who wants to see what we have posted - details are below: The Guest Joslin account username and password has been verified as of 04/26/02. (case sensitive) Username: Guest_Joslin password: myfamily Please pass on to other message boards/genealogy sites as you see fit. We hope you find a relative, a link, a long lost friend or something else that will help you out!
Hi Gwen--- well welcome to the family. I too am related to Phoebe Tatro. Actually my G-G-Grandma was Medora Joslin, sister to Phoebe. I'll bet you heard me scream in excitment all the way from Wisconsin to Utah! I was really excited when I was able to locate Phoebe in Kentucky and then track her ex husband Joseph Tatro and children Parryzade and Jonathon to Nebraska. BUT!! Now a real living cousin has found me! And to top it all off, you have pictures to share and your mother has been researching the family since the 60's!! You have made my day! I have so many questions, I don't know where to begin! Did your mother by any chance post some of the Oryall info on the IGI? What pictures do you have? I have pictures of Isabelle, Medora and Sarah Joslin. I think we have a picture of Thomas Joslin but we need to date the clothing to verify it. I have recently met the 92 year old granddaughter of Isabelle. She may be able to help with some of the unidentified pictures! I have a copy of the actual divorce for Phoebe and Joseph Tatro. We are still transcribing it, as the clerk's handwritting looks like all W's. They! have been an interesting family to research, and I would love to share all my info about the Joslin family. I posted this reply to the message board, so other's will be able to learn of our connection. I will think of additional questions and email you again privately. WOW! am I excited! Cousin Peg

Guess what? I am Phoebe Maria Joslin Tatro (Joseph Tatro Jr.) great, greatgranddaughter and we have been searching for years on this family. My mom started in the 60's. Phoebe left her brothers and sisters in Wisconsin to marry for the second time George Wm. Bowers. Her daughter Paryzade Tatro Oryall Doty is my great grandmother, Eli Joseph Oryall is my grandfather and Clifford Donald Oryall is my deceased father. You have documented very well the Joslin line. Phoebe was a very colorful woman as you said. She died in Kentucky. I have her most of her posterity. Paryzade was the only girl and had 1 son and two daughters. Paryzade and her brother Jonathon went to Grafton, Fillmore, Nebraska with their family appox. 1871 to homestead. We have pictures idenified, tin plates, etc. We have numerous pictures unidenified we believe are Joslin family members. Would love to get with you. Sincerly, a cousin Gwen Oryall of Utah.

I also think I descend from William through his son, either John born 1733/39 (from Mrs. Wessler's book) OR son Daniel, born 1744 or 1755. Are either of these men listed in your files? I have looked for years for this line. Thank you for any help. Wakley Ann Doyal
