I sent this two days ago, but I don't think it went through. I am still trying to find the parents of Eliza Jordan, my great-great grandmother, who married David Everhart in Union Co., Il. in 1847 and appears in the census reports of 1850 and 1870 Alexander Co. as well as the 1860 Census of Union Co. as having been born in North Carolina about 1830. Catherine Jordan, probably her sister (born about 1835 in N.C.), married Frederick Everhart in the same county in 1850. John Jordan, probably her brother (born about 1824 in N.C.), married Mary Everhart in 1847, also in Union Co., Ill. (Incidentally, all these Everharts were born in Ohio, and I am still searching for their parents too.) I strongly suspect that the parents of Eliza, Catherine, and John were the John Jordan and Mary Yost who moved from North Carolina to Union County, Illinois in 1838, according to a 1998 posting on this list by Lisa Henderson. Is Lisa Henderson still subscribed to the list? Is there anyone else who can confirm this for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- Dayton Cook, Aberdeen, SD
