My ancestor was Labon Jordan born 1788 in Va, son of Edward Jordan who was born 1742 in Va. Edward was married to Susanna. They had a number of children. Don't know where they all scattered to, but my Labon and wife Mary Ann Scott, dtr of Wm Scott, moved to Tn. Mary Ann and Labon died in Maury County Tn.This is all proved. I'm looking for information regarding William Jordan (1748-1822). He married Sallie Wood in 1769. I "think" he was from Lunenberg Co., Virginia. William was the son of Thomas Jordan (c 1700 - 1768) Any relatives out there? I'm interested in William for a DAR supplemental line. I have a mystery William JORDAN that I would like to identify He was a witness to an 1820 Bedford Co, TN, land deed, but he does not appear on the 1820 Bedford Co, TN, census. I believe he may have been a brother or other close relative to my Zachariah JORDAN b abt 1785 in SC? and died before 1830 in Bedford Co, TN. Does anyone out there have any leads for me? Thankis!
