I didn't personally research the earlier ancestors in my tree, so I can't answer this for sure, but I suspect that this was a common migration pattern for the time period as people looked for new and better land. It would be interesting to know if our ancestors were related or had contact with each other though. It reminds me of how 3 of my children moved one by one to the west coast from Kansas or several of my Dad;s siblings and my brother moved to Florida one at a time, but obviously influenced by each other.
