I am looking for information about the parents of James Jordan of Clarke Co. MS. James reports in the 1880 census he was born in NC (1825), and his parents were born in VA. James married Caroline McRee (b. 1839) of SC. They married in Clarke Co. on November 1, 1856. They had seven sons and one daughter. The children's names were James F., Rufus Monroe (my ggrandfather), Chandler, Willis, Joseph, George, Ledger, and Minnie. Thank you for any information anyone has on this particular James Jordan.
