Nancy Jordan Thrasher died between 1852 and 1860 in Perry Co. IN and her husband Eli died in Feb 1860 in Perry Co. Their children were: America, Eli, Amanda, Algernon, Mary, Virginia (Jennie), and Theopolis. The names of the children (except for Eli) did not seem to come from the Thrasher line. The Thrashers were in Frederick Co. MD before Bedford Co. VA and came through Breckinridge Co. KY before settling in Perry Co. IN. Nancy Jordan was born about 1811 somewhere in Virginia. She married Eli Thrasher (who had been born in the Bedford Co. VA area) in 1827 in Perry Co. IN. Perry County was formed from Warrick & Gibson Counties and they were formed from Knox County. There doesn't seem to be any Jordan families around that I can connect. I wondered if she came to Indiana with a sister or mother with another surname. Possibly this was a second marriage for her and Jordan is not her maiden name. Any suggestions are appreciated.
