Hello - Does anyone have info on Absolem Jordan born 1799 in Bedford Co., VA? He married Ann Burchett 27 April 1821 in Lawrence Co., KY and died between 1845 and 1850 in Carter Co., KY. Their son William Jordan is my ggg grandfather. William married Julia (Julianne) Gilliam and died in Jackson Co., WVA circa 1910. Thanks. Rick Stewart

Rick and list, I can't answer your very specific question, but can tell you the family you should be looking at -- Absalom who d. in Bedford 1826 -- or possibly his brothers Benjamin and Jonas. I never followed his line, and that's the last date I show for him in Bedford Co. Another probable brother is Jonas (Jr) who was in Bedford early 1790s too.
