Hello List: Am back from a few days vacation and will post another query. I formerly posted a query for John JORDAN (b) abt. 1830 PA. Married Emily Olliver (b) abt 1830 PA. I have spent a week going thru online PA 1850 census records and I have found one record that seems promising: 1850 West Finley Twp. Washington Co.PA JORDAN, John Age 25 Farmer (b) PA Emily 21 " Janella(??sp) E. Age 5 " William J. Age 3 " Female Jordan Age 65 (can't read given name--possibly John's mother.) Eleanor Jordan Age 32 (the record indicates Land value $1600 for Eleanor--it does not list the relationship of Eleanor to John--but I assume it is a sister.) Is there anyone on the JORDAN list that has additional information on this family, that they would be willing to share with me? Note: My gg-grandparents, John & Emily JORDAN, had a son William JORDAN, (b) abt 1849--so the above listed census family could possibly be my family. As far as I can determine, John & Emily JORDAN were in Minnesota shortly before 1860, but I have not found them on the 1860 MN census. They moved to Wapello Co. Iowa shortly before 1870 and they are listed on the 1870 IA census. I have not been able to locate them in a census in IA or elsewhere in 1880. More children were born to my JORDAN family while they were in MN & IA. I have some of that info from the 1870 census. Any help would be appreciated. Donna Broberg No. Co.
