Would like to know if there was a connection between Mortimer Harvie Jordan and Matthew M Jordan (pronounced Jurdan) of Jefferson Co. AL? Matthew M Jordan was born about 1800 not sure where, some of the census have SC and another NC. Matthew Jordan married 31 October 1820 in Elbert Co. GA to Elizabeth McGee. They had the following children: Linney, Abner W, Lewis M, Matthew, James B, William H, Oliver and Mary. All born in AL except the first two they were born in GA. I have been able to locate Matthew M Jordan on the 1840, 1850, and 1860 census. After 1860 I do not know if he died or relocated some where else?
