Dear Marie, Don't know if I can be much help. I went on rootsweb and found that Mortimer Harvie Jordan's grandfather was Matthew Jordan. Matthew Jordan had a son named Matthew Jordan but I wasn't able to find much info on him. I looked on www.familysearch.com and found Matthew Jordan married Elizabeth Magee in 1820 but there was no listing for his parents or for hers. I would venture to say he was related to Mortimer Harvie Jordan m Lucy Scott Gray as he was in Jefferson Co., Ala. and so were my Jordan/Jurdans. If you find anything let me know.
