    1. Jordans of Maine, and associated families
    2. Candy and Bruce
    3. I'm having another whack at attempting to identify the family for Maria H. Jordan, born "about 1750", probably in Maine (died 1827 Mariaville) one clue is, she used a middle initial of H., and named one son Joseph H. Jellison now ... what surname might that H stand for ... Hanscom(b).Hanscum ? Hovey ? Hadley ? Higgins ? Hagen ? Hill ? Haines/Haynes ? Ham ? Heard ? Haley ? Hamlin/Hamblen/Hamilton ? Hutchins ? Hopkins ? what other "H" names were there, associated with the Jordans, and perhaps the Jellisons; in Biddeford, in Union River, in Falmouth/Cape Elizabeth ... or in Kittery/Berwick/Dover ? another horrible thought ... the cursive N is sometimes mis-transliterated as "H" ... what N names are there in this constellation ... perhaps Nason ? this "H' might stand for her maiden name, it's possible she married a Jordan, rather than being born one -- it's also possible that her name was not Jordan at all anyone have any bright ideas ?
