My Jordan line came from N.C., but I am not sure where. My great great grandmother was Eliza Jordan, born about 1830 in N.C., living in Union and Alexander Counties, Illinois from at least 1847 until her death sometime after 1880. I think her parents were John Jordan and Mary Yost from Salisbury, Rowan Co., N.C., but I have no proof. It is also possible that she was from Randolph Co.
